What we know

Midwestern three-portal barn, 46 by 60 feet, built in 1885 by John G. Evans, an Iowan who came in 1884; one of the few barns left from the early settlement period. National Register, 2004. Still standing and visible from Hodgen Road (local observation, 2026). The site also has a windmill missing its blades and a metal tank (Wikipedia). The Evans ranch house is across Hodgen Road at 7315 (PPLD record; survey site B16).

Where it was

National Register site 04000624 (2004), at the coordinates in the Wikipedia article (revision 1373428549, S-0107). That puts it about 55 m north of Hodgen Road in OpenStreetMap, which agrees with local observation (2026: north of Hodgen, still standing) and with the PPLD record (the ranch house is 'to the south across the road'). The county address point for 7195 Hodgen Road, used before, falls on the south side.

The coordinates published with the National Register of Historic Places listing.
