What we know

Stone-pillared arch built about 1925 for a subdivision whose clubhouse was never finished; only the clubhouse foundation remained in 1976 (PPLD record of survey B17; the 1987 Black Forest Preservation Plan's Map 2 No. 11). The 1987 plan dates the Dreamland and Brentwood country clubs to the 1920s. Ellett (p. 60) dates Brentwood to the early 1920s and puts the arch 'on the divide' on Black Forest Road. von Ahlefeldt (p. 81) gives the local story that California bootleggers financed it; its ponds washed out in 1935 (p. 93).

Where it was

'At the dead end of the south end of Wyandott Drive with Wildridge Road' (PPLD record of survey photo B17); that junction in OpenStreetMap (2026-10-05).

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
