## What we know

Episcopal church off Perry Park Road (Highway 105), surrounded by the Bear Canyon (Bear Cañon) Cemetery; George Nickson helped establish the church and cemetery in the 1870s (Perry Park binder LHS_9, Nickson history). Built by Newton Grout in 1872 and consecrated as St. Philip in the Field in 1889, per a parish history in the same binder (helper's digest, pp. 349-352; not yet).
