## What we know

The Pratts came in 1867 for a sawmill and homesteaded 'at the near corner of Greenland Rd. and Hwy. 83'; Harry C. Pratt's lone grave marker is on the old homestead (mapped separately from the county map's pin). The county landmark nomination: a 720-acre homestead filed in 1869; Gideon Pratt was a state representative, county commissioner and assessor; he gave an acre for the Pratt school, which burned about 1899; the family sold in 1902 after his death and the house burned in 1911 (S-0123). Place Names of Colorado's Spring Valley section is this farm.
